5-8pm to enjoy refreshments while you shop! Teaching in the Valley since 2017We've been teaching in the Valley since 2017. Come learn something new at our well-equipped studio! Owned and operated by professional ceramics artist Jake Johnson, who draws on more than 20 years of experience as a full-time ceramic artist to offer a wide range of opportunities-- whether you're just curious and want to give it a try, are returning to clay after time away, or are an experienced potter looking for community and skill development opportunities. We offer classes and memberships and can work with you to design a private event for your group.
About Our FacilitiesWe are well-stocked. We aim to provide facilities and equipment to allow our studio's members and students to continue to grow their skills and knowledge. We have grown steadily since opening in 2017. At present we have a wheel-throwing classroom with 8 wheels, a handbuilding room with 6 worktables, a members' space with 4 work tables and 4 wheels, and a more private work space with 2 wheels. Our additional equipment includes: 2 extruders, 3 slab rollers, 6 electric kilns (including a small test kiln), 2 gas kilns, and 3 raku kilns. A wood kiln will be complete by the end of 2024. We make all our glazes in-house, and we use our glaze lab to teach surface design classes. We have a large Soldner mixer and a large stainless steel de-airing Peter Pugger.
