About Our Studio
HistoryMake Waynesboro Clay studio opened in 2017. It is owned and operated by professional potter Jake Johnson. Jake started working in clay in 2000. He has sold his work in art fairs, galleries, and online since his days as a student. After earning an MFA in ceramics at Penn State and moving to Waynesboro with his wife Katie in 2014, Jake opened the doors of Make Waynesboro Clay Studio a few years later. We started with one classroom with 4 wheels and 1 kiln. We've continued to invest in the studio's spaces and equipment and are proud to offer our members and students a well-maintained and stocked space to continue learning and exploring.
We believe that there is never-ending room for growth in ceramics, and we welcome everyone from beginners to occasional hobbyists and experienced potters to be part of our community. |
